Detox plan, reset time
07 September, 2022We leave the summer behind and return with energy and a list of great resolutions to face the new season.
We have scheduled an appointment with our beauty salon to analyze the state of our skin and assign us new cosmetic care rituals. Of course, a visit to the hairdresser is a must, to nourish and rehydrate the hair after long exposure to the sun.
A visit to the gym is also a must, to determine what type of activity is best suited to our needs.
Among these and many other purposes, we find the shopping list, where after a more social season, where the protagonism falls on gastronomy, our body asks for a reset.
What is a detox plan?
When we talk about detox plans, we refer to the cleansing and detoxification of our body. Through changes in diet and habits, we help the body to eliminate impurities, toxins and waste.
This helps us to become aware of our diet and return more easily to a balanced and healthy diet. And thus start the new season on the right foot.
It is important to note that we not only feel physical benefits, such as improvements in the regulation of intestinal transit, feel the skin cleaner and more hydrated, but also mental benefits, since with the change of schedules and food we get to improve brain oxygenation.
Why should we do it?
Every day we are exposed to a myriad of toxins of which we are not aware, not only we talk about the exposomes to which we are involved, but in the food itself, water we ingest. In the long run, it can affect our health.
We should exclude ultra-processed foods, eliminate carbonated soft drinks, alcohol, reduce dairy products, increase green leafy vegetables, red fruits that provide us with antioxidants, cook with extra virgin olive oil of first cold pressing...
Vegetable and fruit smoothies are a great ally, as they facilitate the intake of fresh food, where we can benefit from the micronutrients they provide, vitamins, minerals... Remember that vegetables lose many of their vitamins and minerals when cooked.
Including superfoods, whether in powder form to enrich our broths and salads, or as supplements, will help us to enhance the process and feel better.
Bet on a healthy life, it is not a matter of losing weight but of gaining health.
