THE BEGINNINGS

Maystar was founded in 1984 when dynamic young entrepreneur Jesús Bonan Solé started handcrafting hair-removal waxes and cosmetic products in his garage.

His idea was as simple as it was ambitious to provide beauty salons with premium-quality products that created differential value. And so the Maystar story began.

The company took its first big step in 1991 when Jesús Bonan Solé invented and patented the innovative roll-on system that would revolutionize the global waxing market and set the company on the road to expansion and internationalization.

Today, Maystar is a Spanish Company related to the Professional Beauty Industry with a relevant management area, a focussed Research & Development Laboratory, continuous application protocol training, an effectiveproduction and logistics capacity and a solid comercial network, these guarantee the company is a leader in the Beauty sector.

Manipulating the hair dryer shell he creates the first roll-on condenser-applicator which will revolutionize traditional waxing system.
The invention is patented and becomes a revolutionary system in the history of hair removal around the world, the most imitated in the world and the one anyone yet has been capable to improve.

The patent of the roll-on represents for MAYSTAR a strong business expansion, both nationally and internationally.

Recognition of the effort
The Chamber of Commerce gives MAYSTAR the award as Emerging Export Company, thanks to the great international expansion of the company in the last years.

Generational relay
The President of the company decides to leave the General Managing in the hands of his son, who has developed his entire career at MAYSTAR.
Once he took the Managing of the company, he incorporates next to him a qualified managerial staff in charge of the areas of Human Resources, Laboratory, Export, Financial, Marketing and Communication to professionalize the company.

Opening the production plant in Brazil
After the internationalization success of MAYSTAR in South America, we start a project of creation of a production plant in São Paulo (Brazil), given the need to gain competitiveness and improve the supply of raw materials.

Opening Maystar Perú
Following up with international expansion we open MAYSTAR PERÚ in order to look after the demanding market of the country, which concerns high quality beauty products and professional treatments.

Acquisition Eva Professional · Maystar Group is born
Maystar, S.L. has acquired the company Eva Professional, manufacturer of hairdressing articles and with extensive experience in the professional sector, both nationally and internationally thus giving rise to Maystar Group.
